Drink-drive awareness endeavor this Christmas
A number of roadshows all over Wiltshire will be focusing on the issue of drink-driving all through the month of December.
Drink-driving continues to be a very essential issue in the Wiltshire Road Safety Partnership's strategy to decrease the number of major injuries and deaths on especially the county's roads.
Dick Tonge, the cabinet member of Wiltshire Council for highways, said that the purpose is to display the results of drink-driving, and how it can devastate the lives of families and friends of not only the victims but as well the drunk driver.
He further said that the endeavor is not only for drivers or learners, but rather for one and all since everyone needs to know how drink-driving can destroy lives.
The road safety partnership is in collaboration with partners in the emergency services for reducing the number of car crashes on the roads of Wiltshire, and this year's event is part of an endeavor for bringing a change in the people's callous behavior.
Every roadshow will have remains of a car that had actually been in a crash, and the people who were affected by the deadly crashes. There will also be representatives from police, fire-rescue service and the council.
