Delhi marketplaces, offices to stay closed for CWG opening and finishing ceremony
Delhi Administration on Friday guided every shop and commercial establishments in the capital to stay closed on October 3 and October 14 and the days of opening and closing functions of the Commonwealth Games correspondingly.
In a notice that was delivered under the Delhi Shops and Establishments Act, 1954, the government, on the other hand made it very obvious that no inference shall be made from the salary of any worker on description of public holiday on both the days.
In sight of the announcement, the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) counsel trade organizations all over the capital to remain closure of their business organization on both the days.
All central government headquarters as well as Public Sector Undertakings plus Delhi Government offices in the national capital shall also stay closed on October 14.
The opening festival of the super occasion shall be held on October 3 which is Sunday at the same time as the Closing Ceremony falls out to be on Thursday.
The Union Cabinet has by now affirmed October 14 as holiday as stated by the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881. Schools and colleges shall also stay closed in the capital throughout the phase of the Games.
