Daimler wins Dubai bus contract
Frankfurt - The world's biggest bus maker, Germany's Daimler AG said Tuesday it had secured a contract to deliver 260 Mercedes-Benz Citaro city buses to the emirate of Dubai.
Production of the 33-seat buses ordered by Dubai is to commence in the first quarter of 2009. However, Daimler declined to say how much the contract was worth.
The Kuwait Investment Authority is Daimler's second largest
stakeholder with a 6.9-per cent-stake in the giant Stuttgart-based auto group. (dpa)
