Tata Steel has decided to raise long-term funds of up to $1 billion by a way of share sale through the Differential Voting Rights (DVR) route. The company has mandated Standard Chartered Bank, HSBC Holdings, Deutsche Bank, RBS and Kotak Mahindra Capital to manage the share sale. The company will raise up to $1 billion via DVR route.
State-run Oil and Natural Gas Corp has agreed to raise stake in Pawan Hans Helicopters to 49 percent from 21%.

Economic Updates
Majority of manufacturing sectors in India are estimated to clock double digit growth in production during April-December' 10 over the year-ago period, strengthening signs of revival in the industry according to CII. As many as 72 out of 127 manufacturing sectors are likely to close the nine months period ending December 31 with over 10% growth compared to just 56 such sectors in the corresponding period last year.
