Crude oil prices coming closer to $87 per barrel
With prices again coming close to $87 per barrel, Crude oil for May delivery turned higher in late trading in New York.
It was reported that the price of May delivery peaked in intra-session trading at $87.09 per barrel before settling down. In late trading, however, prices turned higher again, gaining 10 cents to $86.72.
Including a rise in a key U. S. index of non-manufacturing business activity, strong economic data, have given evidence an economic recovery is for real and demand will increase.
Heating oil futures for May delivery on the New York Mercantile Exchange, lost 0.0079 cents to $2.2596 per gallon. Adding 0.0023 cents, reformulated gasoline blend-stock went up to $2.3525 per gallon. Henry Hub natural gas prices lost 0.152 cents to $4.125 per million British thermal units.
According to the reports of AAA, at the pump, the national average price for a gallon of unleaded gasoline rose to $2.83 per gallon Tuesday from Monday's $2.828. (With Inputs from Agencies)
