Surya Pharmaceuticals has signed a marketing agreement with Crocs, a footwear manufacturing company based in US for marketing medical footwear in India. This exclusive marketing alliance tends to give revenue of Rs 1 billion in next two years to the former company.

Crocs has already gained lot of popularity in the field of making medical foot wears, particularly foot wears which are made for those who are suffering from some foot problem or those who have arthritis or diabetes.

Surya Pharmaceutical Company has planned this alliance for introducing various international brands in the Indian market. Om Bhatia, President Surya Pharmaceuticals said that footwear produced by Crocs are of super fine quality. These foot wears guarantee to provide foot care solutions to the general people along with people suffering from arthritis or are potential diabetics.

Company has created various phases for the distribution of the medical foot wears in 15 cities and later on to 100 cities over a period of 6 to 8 months.

Company has forecasted the sales of around 6.5 lakh pairs over the next two coming years because population suffering from diabetes also showed an increasing percentage of 10-15 percent per year. In addition to this, the company will also recruit distributors to sell the footwear asserted as Bhatia.

The company has planned to open network of store with the name ‘Viva’ to sell the foot wears. Till now there are total 42 Viva stores under the company’s network.
