Washington, Jan 20 : Rocker Courtney Love is scared to shift her base to New York City because she has many bad memories of the Big Apple.

While the 44-year-old wants to leave Los Angeles, but doesn't have any idea where to live in the NY.

The singer's past drug problems had led to a forced rehab stint in New York, which is to be her new home in 2009.

"I''m dreading moving to New York... I f**king hate L. A., but I''m just dreading it. What neighbourhood do you live in?" Contactmusic quoted her as telling Heeb magazine.

She added: "You kind of have to live under a rock not to know that they (authorities) kind of took me to Bellevue. It was just so awful." (ANI)
