Corporation Bank, BoI Hike Prime Lending Rates
A day after Union Bank of India hiked its benchmark prime lending rate, the Corporation Bank has also decided to revise its lending rates upward by 50 basis points from the present level of 13.50% p.a. to 14.00% p.a. with effect from August 11, 2 008.
However, the bank has informed that the rates for Housing Loans with sanctioned limits of upto Rs 30 lakh, Agriculture Loans and Educational Loans have not been hiked.
In a separate release, Bank of India has also hikes its Basic prime lending rate (BPLR) by 0.75 % to 14 %, effective August 10.
Yesterday, Union Bank and IndusInd Bank have hiked their BPLRs by 0.75% to 14% and 17% respectively.
