Russia’s Primorye gambling zone will soon have a new hotel-casino complex as gaming authorities have confirmed that work on the new project will commence later this year. The Primorsky Krai Development Corporation (KRPK) said in a press release that Asia-Invest Group LLC, a well-known construction & project management firm, will overlook the construction, which is all set to start in September 2023. To be situated 50 km from Vladivostok, it is the third casino project in the Primorye gambling zone. Two other already existing casinos are Tigre de Cristal and the Shambala integrated resort, which have been entertaining guests since 2015 and 2020, respectively.

In the month of October in 2021, the construction & project management company had announced its plans to pump up to US$34 million into the hotel-casino complex.

Various issues, including the pandemic and Ukraine-Russia war, resulted in delay of the project, but the company didn’t give up. Plans remained on board, and KRPK believes that it is the right time to move ahead and construct the long-expected casino-hotel. Asia-Invest Group received the building permit just now. Delay in the issuance of the building permit can also be held responsible for the delay in the commencement of the project. It may be noted here that construction of any structure can’t be started without building permit.

Now, the company is pursuing talks with contractors for earthworks on the site, laying engineering networks etc.

Asia-Invest Group’s director, Alexander Kim, said, “Currently, we are negotiating with contractors for earthworks, laying engineering networks on the site and developing interior design, and the project estimate documentation is also being prepared.”

The first stage of the construction hotel-casino complex project is expected to complete by the end of August 2025. Work on the main structure of the complex is scheduled to start in September 2023 and complete in March 2024. In the next step, the facade panels will be installed.

After the completion of first phase of the complex, the hotel will be ready to receive guests in 80 state-of-the-art, well-furnished rooms. The gaming space/casino will offer nearly 200 slot machines and 30 gaming tables. The 8-storey complex will provide employment to as many as 450 people. Other details about the casino remains unavailable as the company is still preparing the working documentation for the gaming space. Along with casino documentation, the design documents for second phase of the project will reportedly be submitted soon.
