Congress Working Committee meeting today ahead of AICC Session

New Delhi, Nov 16: The Congress Working Committee (CWC) will meet here this evening on the eve of the 17th All-India Congress Committee (AICC) session.

The highest decision taking body of the Congress is expected to fine tune and approve the resolutions to be adopted at the session.

Earlier, the CWC, the party's top decision making body, met on November 8.

The meeting was chaired by Sonia Gandhi, and it cleared four proposals, including a political and a economic resolution.

Besides, the committee decided to amend the party's Constitution and re-introduce single category membership.

Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi had also attended the meeting for the first time. He reportedly put forth suggestions before the CWC.

Besides Rahul, two other new members Prithviraj Chavan and Kishore Chandra Deo also attended the meeting. (ANI)
