Colgate-Palmolive's June quarter net profit at Rs 121.9 crore

Colgate-Palmolive's June quarter net profit at Rs 121.9 croreOral and personal care firm Colgate-Palmolive has declared its first quarter financial results for the fiscal year 2010-11. The company sells a range of personal care products in India under the 'Palmolive' brand and this has been one of the renowned brands in the country. The company also sells toothpowder, toothbrushes and mouthwash under its Colgate brand.

Colgate-Palmolive has posted a net profit of Rs 121.98 crore for the quarter that ended in 30th June, 2010. Last year, for the same period of time the net profit was reported to be Rs 102.78 crore.

This net profit figure has grown up marginally in this quarter as compared to the corresponding quarter in the last fiscal. This has been informed from the filing of Colgate-Palmolive at the Bombay Stock Exchange.

Colgate-Palmolive had net sales of Rs 467.9 crore during the April-June quarter of fiscal year 2010-11.

The company has also informed that there has been merger of Professional Oral Care Products (POC) with itself in the month of April which has its impact on the balance sheet.
