“Clash of the Titans” remains on top

“Clash of the Titans” remains on topThe Titans had not much to fight with as they continued to be on the top for two consecutive weeks. And it was not only in the US market alone that the movie was able to pull the crowds but also in the foreign markets as well.

As per the latest data available, the 3-D mythological epic was able to earn $54 million in the second week. This makes the total collection reach $119.2 million. Out of this 65 per cent of the income came from the 3D theaters.

Experts believe that this was possible making because the school holidays have started in most of the overseas markets. Since the movie has been made keeping in mind the children as its audience, the sales have boosted during this period.

"Clash of the Titans" was on the top in Russia, France and Germany. It was able to earn $12.4 million, $7.6 million and $6.4 million in the markets, respectively.

"How to Train Your Dragon" was on the second spot and was able to gross $23.7 million in 55 countries. It was able to get 70 per cent of its revenue from 3-D theaters.
