In a message, Chiranjeevi, Telugu filmstar has declared that he and
his family members were really happy for his newly-wed daughter, Srija
and son-in-law, Sirish.

At present, Srija and Sirish are in New Delhi under police protection.

In his letter to the Court and Srija’s attorney Pinky Anand,
Chiranjeevi again pointed out that Srija and her husband won’t face up
any troubles from him and other family members.

“It’s quite unnecessary to drag this issue to Court when I already
gave assurance from my side. I was terribly disappointed with this act
from Srija,” he said in that letter.

The court has lengthened the police protection to the couple for another two weeks and has discontinued the case.

Pinky Anand demanded the court to order Chiranjeevi’s family to welcome Srija and Sirish at the Hyderabad airport.

But, the court passed up their request and told, “Why force the
family to receive? You are adult, go wherever you want to go. How can
you compel your parents to accept you?”

Srija’s advocate also submitted that the couple is also trying to
get in touch with Chiranjeevi’s family but has not been able to talk to
them as their phone lines are not working.

This exhibits how desperate the pair is to contact Chiranjeevi and his family.

But Chiranjeevi preserved his self-respect by just accepting her daughter’s marriage and not receiving them into the family.
