Beijing - Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi plans to travel next week to the Middle East and Russia, the Foreign Affairs Ministry said Thursday.

Yang would visit Egypt, the Palestinian territories, Israel, Syria and Moscow on his trip from Tuesday through April 27, the ministry said.

His trip is to focus on the development of bilateral ties as well as regional and international issues, it added. (dpa)
