China ready to support Nepal's political stability drive
Kathmandu, Mar. 3 : China has expressed a willingness to support Nepal in any effort intended to establish political stability in Nepal.
China's visiting Assistant Minister for Foreign Affairs He Yafei conveyed this message to Nepal Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala on Monday here.
According to NepalNews, Yafei stressed on the need to establish stability in Nepal for economic progress. Koirala said cooperation and solidarity from neighbouring countries is necessary for Nepal at this hour to restore peace and accelerate progress.
The two also discussed the issue of possible extension of railway link to Kathmandu from Tibet, trade of POL products and other bilateral support.
The Chinese delegation also met with Nepal's Chief of the Army Staff, General Rookmangud Katawal, and Foreign Secretary Gyan Chandra Acharya before the beginning of the seventh meeting of the Nepal-China consultative network in Kathmandu. (ANI)
