CDC warns Parents not to Leave Kids in swimming Pool unwatched
As per the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, at least 10 kids die from drowning every day in swimming pool. Out of them, more than 10% are children aged 14 and below. Therefore, authorities concerned have warned people to remain cautious.
When it comes to gender, boys and men have more chances of drowning than girls and women. The authorities concerned have asked parents, guardians and children to only swim in swimming pools when life guards are present.
Instructions should be followed whether it's a private or public swimming pool. There are special instructions that guardians and parents should not leave their child alone in swimming pool.
Along with this, CDC has also told about the disease can take place in swimming pools.
" Diarrhea - It is one of the most common illnesses that children can suffer from after swimming. The problem takes place due to the parasite called crypto or cryptosporidium that can enter in water through infected feces. It can also happen if someone who has entered into pool without taking shower first.
" Hot Tub Rash - A skin infection whose symptoms include itchiness and red, bumpy rashes. The rashes can be severe in the areas that are covered by your swimming suit.
" Pinkeye- It is characterized by burning sensation, which happens when one is allergic to chlorine and also when there are many germs present in the un-chlorinated water.
