Carphone Warehouse and Best Buy to offer LG Optimus 3D from July 1
Carphone Warehouse and Best Buy have announced that the LG Optimus 3D smartphone will be available from July 1, a week before it is launched nationwide in the UK.
The world’s first 3D phone with glass free technology will be available across 20 Carphone Warehouse stores across the country while Best Buy will offer the device in its four leading outlets.
The LG Optimus 3D features a 4.3-inch WVGA stereoscopic 3D display allowing users to watch 3D content without the need of special glasses and runs on Google’s Android 2.2 Froyo.
It comes with a five-megapixel dual-lens camera, a HDMI port and built-in Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 3G connectivity. The viewers can record and view 2D or 3D videos and images on high-resolution 4.3-inch WVGA display screen.
“The LG Optimus 3D features some ground breaking technology and we’re proud to be able to offer the world’s first 3D smartphone exclusively at Carphone Warehouse and Best Buy,” said Carphone Warehouse and Best Buy CCO Graham Stapleton.
Carphone Warehouse and Best Buy will offer the smartphne for free with a £35 per month 24 month contracts or for £499.95 as a SIM free model.
