HTC to launch flagship smartphone M9 alongwith its first smartwatch in March

HTC M9Washington, Jan 20 : With HTC teasing its March 1st Mobile World Congress event, media is abuzz with reports that suggest the company's next flagship smartphone may be launched in March along with its first smartwatch.

The HTC One M8 successor is indeed named M9 and features a similar design to its predecessor with gold, gray, and silver color options, reported The Verge.

It will feature a hefty 20 megapixels rear camera but that does not mean that the company is abandoning its UltraPixel concept entirely. The front-facing camera will reportedly use the larger pixels which will make for better low-light selfies.

Apple likely to launch stylus alongside 12.9 inch display iPad

AppleWashington, Jan 20 : According to an analyst with a solid track record, Apple is likely to launch a stylus along with a larger version of the iPad with a 12.9-inch display.

KGI Securities' Ming-chi Kuo said that the stylus will be arriving in the second quarter of this year, reported the Verge.

The analyst believes the first iteration of the stylus to be relatively simple in technical terms.

He also said that the stylus will be charged with a lightning connector.

However, it cannot be said if the stylus will be compatible with other versions of the iPad . (ANI)

HTC to launch next One smartphone on 1st March

HTCWashington, Jan 17 - HTC has announced the date of launch for its next One flagship smartphone as March 1st, sending out invitations for its big event at this year's Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

According to the Verge, HTC is the first among all major Android smartphone makers to announce a date for its next launch.

However, the Taiwanese company has not disclosed further information except the launch date.

The current flagship device One M8 was launched in March last year that marked a change for the company in its retail availability.

Google pulls plug on present form of much touted Glass

Google GlassesLondon, Jan 16 - Google has said that the company will suspend the sales of its Glass eyewear Google Glass and insisted that they were committed to launching the smart glasses as a consumer product but will suspend production in its present form.

The programme was launched in the United States in 2013 and was then launched in the UK last summer, reported BBC.

It is expected that Google will launch a complete consumer launch of the product.

Microsoft announces cheapest Windows Phone

Lumia 435Washington, Jan 15 : Microsoft has announced new Lumia 435 and Lumia 532 with lowered prices to increase sales of Windows Phone by reaching a wider group of potential buyers.

According to The Verge, the Lumia 435 and Lumia 532, both measuring 4 inches in size will cost less than 100 dollars before the usual taxes and subsidies.

Priced at 69 euros (a little more than 80 dollars), Lumia 435 is the cheapest Windows Phone to date and yet it runs Windows Phone 8.1 with the Lumia Denim update.

The gadget comes with a 1GB of RAM and 8GB of expandable storage and has a 2-megapixel camera..

Meanwhile, Lumia 532 is priced at 79 euros (94 dollars) before taxes.

Blackberry's shares drop as it denies talks with Samsung about buyout deal

Infosys CEO Sikka meets PM, to spend USD 250m on software innovations in India

He also reportedly said that Infosys is keen to participate in the creation of a smart and digitally empowered India.

He was quoted by media, as saying that his discussions with the Prime Minister focused on smart cities and infrastructure.

According to the Verge, smart covers work through magnets to keep the flap secured and to lock into various positions.

New York suspends 5 of Uber's 6 bases over trip records

UberWashington, Jan 08 : New York's Taxi and Limousine Commission (TLC), which licenses taxicabs in the city, has temporarily suspended five out of six car hubs of Uber until they divulge electronic records of drivers' trips.

The TLC has asked Uber to produce data including, "the date of trip, time of trip, pick up location, and license numbers" and has demanded that the company pay 200 dollars fine for each of its bases in New York , reported The Verge.

Uber, on the other hand, has argued that the details demanded by the agency constitute trade secrets and sharing them could undermine its position in the market. They also said that such data could be a violation of drivers' privacy.

Sony releases 1,200 dollar Android powered walkman ZX2 with high resolution audio

According to Mashable, the walkman supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and is NFC-enabled, said the company.

The feature of the Android powered device includes a touchscreen and runs 4.2 jellybean version of Android operating system.

According to The Verge, while features and specs are clearly secondary to this tease, Samsung intends to attract attention with the pure sex factor of a giant, curved 4K TV.

The TV will run on Tizen , as is the case of all other smart TVs by Samsung.
