DCB introduces ‘Freedom 1-2-3 Fixed Deposit Scheme’Private sector lender Development Credit Bank (DCB) has introduced a new deposit scheme -- DCB Freedom 1-2-3 fixed deposit, for its customers.

The newly launched scheme will offer 10.5% rate to customers in the 375 days to three-year tenure. However, Senior citizens will receive 0.5% more rate above the card rates.
 
The bank also increased rate for 91 days deposit to 9% from 7% for deposits up to Rs 50 lakh. The new rates will come effective from October 1.

Lanco Consortium bags order worth Rs 8300 crore from Kerala GovernmentHyderabad-Based Lanco Infratech Limited has informed that the company has bagged a Letter of Intent (LoA) from Kerala Government, for Vizhinjam international transshipment terminal port project work. 

The Project was awarded to the Consortium of LANCO and Pembinan Redzai Sdn Bhd of Malaysia after the Government of India formally granted the security clearance to the Consortium earlier this month.

UshaComm inks pact with Telecom FijiUshaComm, a part of Usha Martin Group, has informed that it has entered into an end user license pact with Telecom Fiji. 

Under the deal, Telecom Fiji will utilize UshaComm’s state-of-the-art billing system Unicorn, convergent mediation system Pegasus and interconnect billing & reconciliation system UIBS.  

Suva-based Telecom Fiji Limited (TFL) is the only provider of local and national (trunk) telephony services, and owns the sole public switched telephone network in Fiji.  

Germany's TUV Group marks 30 years in Asia

Cologne, Germany  - TUV Rheinland Group, a German firm that certifies compliance of products with regulations, marked 30 years of doing business in Asia on Thursday, noting that it now had laboratories at 40 places in 14 Asian nations.

The first testing laboratory opened on October 2, 1978 in Tokyo with just three staff.

Today the Cologne-based firm has an Asian payroll of more than 2,600 and last year had regional revenues of 160 million euros (230 million dollars), nearly half that sum in China.
