BSE Sensex closes 107 points lower at 15,411Indian Stock markets closed lower on Friday as investors booked profit after recent rally in price of select stocks. BSE Sensex closed 107 points lower at 15,411 after a volatile session. However, the market closed 1.6% higher on a weekly basis, largely on back of Thursday’s rally.

Investors were seen booking profit in Real Estate, Information Technology, Banking and Auto Stocks. Market players are also concerned about Monsoon situation in India, which could have negative impact on agriculture sector and many other related industries.

On Bombay Stock Exchange, out of 2759 stocks, 1397 ended the day positive while 1281 closed lower. 81 stocks ended as same level.

The liquidity in the market is high and investors are trading with decent volumes. Still there is a growing sense of caution and markets wait for international cues before deciding further movement.

Energy major ONGC was among major gainers on BSE. Reliance Industries, HDFC Bank and Mastek managed to close higher.

Hindustan Unilever, ICICI Bank, Hero Honda and ACC were among major losers.
