Sanjay Dutt’s debut home production – an action adventure film titled ‘India’ – will, in all probability, star Big B, and will be directed by the young director Soham.

In Amitabh’s own words, ‘all Sanjay has to do is ask,’ for getting him to play the lead role in his first ever production, which is expected to go on floors in the middle of next year.

Sanjay Dutt who shares a good rapport with both the Bachchans – father Amitabh and son Abhishek - had long been contemplating the idea of launching his production vehicle with Amitabh in lead. And even as Amitabh is on his way to recovery from his abdominal troubles, he is more than ready to oblige Sanjay Dutt’s request.

The young and talented Soham, in conversation with Bollywood Hungama, confirmed the news, saying: “Yes, I am directing a film for Sanjay Dutt Productions. Mr. Dutt is in talks with Mr.Amitabh Bachchan for one of the main characters. We are also in talks with Zayed Khan. It’s too early to talk about the cast since we are still narrating the scripts to the actors.”

Sources say that Sanjay Dutt did not approach Big B directly, as he felt that proposing the idea in person to the superstar would just pressurize the actor to respond positively – so he left a message at Big B’s office instead.

Though Sanjay Dutt is planning to rope in some top-notch actors, with Big B’s almost certain nod, looks like the project is all ‘way to go!’
