Bharti Airtel, Aircel To Roll Out iPhone 4 In Indian MarketBharti Airtel Ltd and Aircel announced their plans to roll out Apple's iPhone 4 in the Indian market in the coming months.

The companies do not disclose further details.

In their declarations, both Bharti Airtel and Aircel stated that Apple's fourth-generation iPhone model was the most advanced cellular phone across the world.

iPhone 4, which measures 4.5 x 2.3 x 0.37 inches, has become sleeker and razor thin as compared to its precursor.

The new phone will come packed with Apple's newest mobile OS (iOS 4) which guarantees traits including multitasking, spell check, Folders and iBooks.

Sales of smartphones such as iPhone are likely to zoom in the Indian market as telecommunication firms are launching third generation services, which provide speedy data transfer capabilities.

With over 790 million subscribers, India is the second biggest marketplace after China for telecommunication services.

The country's cellphone market is projected to develop 25% to 210 million units in the existing year, according to market research firm CyberMedia Research.

Bharti, which already markets former iPhone models, has thus far appended 2 million users to its third generation mobile telephone network, which it launched in January.

Aircel, which has over 50 million subscribers on its 2G network, commenced offering third generation services in February.
