Benazir's ancestral town in India mourned her death
Junagarh/ Bhatinda, Dec 30: The residents of the ancestral town of former Pakistan Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto in India have mourned her death.
The people living in Gujarat's Junagadh, the ancestral town of Benazir's father Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, also prayed for peace and harmony in Pakistan.
Paying homage to Benazir in Junagadh's Jama Masjid, Moulana Hafiz Mohammad Faruq condemned the dastardly act.
"Benazir's father and grandfather were from Junagadh. Her father came here once after marriage. We would say that people of Pakistan should live in peace and harmony," Faruq said.
Meanwhile residents of Bhatinda also paid homage to the departed Pakistani leader.
"Today we have prayed for Benazir Bhutto in the mosque and also condemned the terrorist act," said Moulvi Sirajuddin, head cleric.
Benazir was assassinated in Rawalpindis' Liaquat Bagh area on Thursday. (ANI)
