Leading pharmaceutical company Aventis Pharma has announced its second quarter financial results for the fiscal year 2010-11. The company has posted a net profit of Rs 42.4 crore for this quarter.  

As per the company officials there has been a decline of 9.97% in the net profit figure in this quarter under review as compared to the same quarter last year.

So far as the net sales of the firm are concerned, it has gone up to Rs 271.5 crore during the April-June period of fiscal year 2010. It has reported to be Rs 249.9 crore for the same quarter in the previous year.

Aventis Pharma has informed this in a filing at the Bombay Stock Exchange.  

The board of the company has decided to recommend a dividend of Rs 4 per equity share of Rs 10 for the financial year 2009-10 subject to the approval of the share holders.

The pharma company has also declared its six months sales and net profit figure. It net has gone down to Rs 78.5 crore while the net sales have increased up to Rs 522.9 crore for the six months ended June 30.
