Ashwani Gujral: Trading Call Performance for Tata Motors, Hero MotoCorp, Kotak Mahindra Bank, BPCL and Dr Reddy’s
Indian markets closed slightly lower on Tuesday tracking the global weakness. Market Expert Ashwani Gujral suggested three BUY Calls and Two Sell Calls for the trading session. TopNews reviews the performance of five trading calls given by Gujral.
Gujral suggested SELL for Kotak Mahindra Bank with a stop loss of Rs 1,210, target at Rs 1,140. Kotak Mahindra Bank opened lower at Rs 1,178 and continued with the decline for the rest of the trading session. The stock touched low of Rs 1,137 during the trading session, meeting the target suggested by Gujral. This Call can be termed as SUCCESSFUL. Reliance Industries surprisingly dropped by nearly 6 percent intraday yesterday as traders booked profit at higher levels. This led to decline in overall markets and sentiment.
Other two stocks on Gujral’s BUY list for the day were from automobile sector. Gujral suggested Buy for Hero MotoCorp with a stop loss of Rs 2,060, target at Rs 2,140. Hero MotoCorp opened at Rs 2093 compared to last close of Rs 2088. The stock touched Rs 2,134 as intraday high. Traders could have made profit although the target price wasn’t reached. Hero MotoCorp closed nearly Rs 26 higher compared to last close. This call can be termed as successful.
Gujral also suggested Buy for Tata Motors with a stop loss of Rs 82, target at Rs 94. Tata Motors opened at Rs 86 and touched intraday high of Rs 87.70. This stock didn’t perform as per expectation. This call has FAILED.
Gujral suggested SELL call for oil major BPCL. Traders were suggested to Sell BPCL with a stop loss of Rs 320, target at Rs 305. BPCL opened at Rs 310.50 and touched intraday high of Rs 319.80. The stock almost reached Stop Loss and didn’t reach the target price of Rs 305. This call has also FAILED.
As a contrarian call, Gujral suggested traders to sell pharmaceutical major Dr Reddy’s with a stop loss of Rs 3,920, target at Rs 3,800. Dr Reddy’s opened at Rs 3,863 and touched an intraday low of Rs 3,759. This call met the target and can be termed as SUCCESSFUL.
For the trading session, three calls were successful while two called failed.
