ARM Launches Solution Center for Android
ARM, as a part of its drive to bring new and innovative changes and improvement to the Android platform, has launched the Solution Center for Android, the company's solution center for all hardware manufacturers who are into development of Android-based mobile devices. As has been confirmed by the company's spokesperson James Bruce, in excess of 35 members from the ARM Connected Community have already joined.
"Android offers a complete stack for software developers, but hardware manufacturers have traditionally had to do without such a resource", said Bruce. "For example, a number of companies in Asia have access to Android source code but are not sure how to get it running on ARM hardware. Our new solution center changes that."
The Solution Center for Android has garnered support from major OEMs, Silicon Partners and various hardware solution providers, in addition to the 35 ARMCC members. All these experts have come together to help develop tools, solutions and services specifically aimed at making Android better for the ARM platform.
Noteworthy partners who are participating in the effort include - Acrodea, Ingenient Technologies, Open Kernel Labs, VisualOn and Wipro, among other impressive names.
ARM's Solution Center for Android is available for immediate access, and users desiring more information and a complete list of participating partners can get it from ww. arm. com/solution-center-android.
