AP government ready to host IPL-3 matches
Andhra Pradesh government has assured the Indian Premier League (IPL-3) organizers that they are ready to host the opening match of the IPL-3 at Hyderabad and they will provide all possible support to them.
Sports Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy said that IPL-3 officials had not contacted them before shifting the opening ceremony and the inaugural match from Hyderabad to Mumbai.
He added that they are ready to host the IPL-3 matches and all players and officials will be provided with all necessary facilities.
Mr. Reddy also said that Hyderabad provides world class facilities for all matches including domestic and international matches and the protesters should not boycott IPL-3 as this will not be good for the image of Hyderabad.
It is worthwhile to mention here that the IPL-3 opening ceremony was shifted from Hyderabad to Mumbai after Telengana supporters threatened to boycott the IPL-3 and entered into the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium last week.
