Any Kind of Chocolate is Good for health: Study

For so many years, dark chocolate has gained appreciation for positively affecting your body. But now, a new research has unveiled that any kind of chocolate is good for health.

The study researchers from the University of Aberdeen in England said there might not be a big difference. In the study, the researchers have gone through health data of over 21,000 men and women for almost 12 years.

They came to know that those of who ate more chocolate had an 11% reduced risk for coronary heart disease and a 23% reduced risk for stroke. It is the first study stating that milk chocolate can be beneficial for the heart.

The researchers are not sure which components in chocolate are good for health. Study's senior researcher Dr. Phyo Myint said flavonols found in chocolate could add to cutting the risk of heart disease and stroke. The researchers also noted that those who ate chocolate were in better health.

But the researchers have also suggested to keep chocolate indulgence to 3.5 ounces or less. "The key is only to have moderate consumption and ensure one does not exceed the calorie intake recommended for their height or weight", said Myint.

Healthy ways to add chocolate to diet are by having a cup of hot chocolate; an ounce of chocolate bar and handful of semi-sweet chocolate chips.
