Another Case Of Lady Teacher Sexually Harassing Girl Student

After a controversial false TV sting operation that kicked up public fury in the capital over a fortnight ago, one more sex case came up Friday, in which a woman teacher has been charged with sexually harassing one of her girl pupils.

Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (south Delhi), N.S. Bundela said, “We have registered a case of sexual abuse against Meena Tuli, a teacher with Gargi Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya in south Delhi, after one of her students made the accusation.”

The girl’s father filed the complaint late Thursday at the Hauz Khas police station.

The 16-year-old victim, who lives in Netaji Nagar, had failed the Class 8 examinations two times.

According to police, the sufferer in her complaint alleged that Meena Tuli was sexually harassing her and had also asked her to indulge in immoral activities with others.

"We are investigating the case, but no arrest has been made. The girl was admitted to a hospital and we are awaiting the medical reports," added Mr. Bundela.

Bundela stated that the police had not received any other charge against the teacher from other pupils.

Last month, the police apprehended Uma Khurana, a mathematics teacher of Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya at Asaf Ali Road in central Delhi, after a private Hindi news channel Live India supposedly pictured her pressuring a girl student into whoredom and pornography.

Following the television program, dozens of people went on a rampage and fired various public vehicles on Asaf Ali Road. But later on the police survey proved that the sting expose was false and bushelled.

A city court granted bail to Khurana, while the reporter of the channel Prakash Singh and an hopeful journalist Rashmi Singh were caught for carrying out the counterfeit sting operation.
