Amazon to have Bumper Sale for its Prime Members on July 15

In order to celebrate its 20th birthday, Amazon is going to have a bumper sale for its Amazon Prime members on Wednesday. This is the reason that the sale has been named ‘Prime Day’ and will be for just one day.

Amazon has claimed that the sale records will be bigger than Black Friday. The company will be offering numerous deals during the sale time and in fact, more than double it offered in November last year.

As per an analyst blogpost on the Nasdaq website, the prime members will be able to enjoy deals on the site on different categories, which will give competition to its competitors who will have a sale on Black Friday.

Black Friday is considered as the start of the Christmas shopping season. The sale will start from midnight and will continue for the next 24 hours. Amazon said that after every 10 minutes, it will be offering new deals. For the non-Prime members, Amazon has offered a month trial without charging money to take part in the promotion.

The sale will be active for Amazon Prime subscribers in the UK, US, Spain, Japan, Italy, Germany, France and Canada. In 2007, the company launched Prime, a priority delivery service. To become a member of it, subscribers need to pay £79-a-year fee. By becoming a member of it, people will get next-day delivery of the products purchased and have an access to Prime instant video, Amazon's TV streaming.
