Albania heat wave blamed for two deaths
Tirana - At least two Albanians died from heart attacks blamed on a pre-summer heat wave, news reports said Tuesday.
Temperatures in the Mediterranean nation reached 34 degrees Celsius last weekend and Monday. Authorities warned citizens with heart problems to avoid travel and stay home starting at 30 degrees.
Hospitals and police blamed the heat for the death of a 50-year-old taxi driver Monday in the capital Tirana, Albanian media said. Another man, 56, died while travelling on a bus Sunday, the reports said. (dpa)
