Airtel and Vodafone gearing up to fetch “iPhone 3G S” to India in AugustThe new version of Apple’s super gadget iPhone – “iPhone 3G S,” which was uncovered in the United States earlier this week, will shortly be available for Indian users. The exclusive partners of Apple in India, Bharti Airtel and Vodafone Essar are gearing up to fetch the iPhone 3G S to India in August.   

Apple has confirmed that ‘iPhone 3G S’ will be available in India, in August, but Apple has not revealed any details about the launch date and price of the phone in India. Bharti Airtel and Vodafone Essar also haven’t revealed the details yet.

The ‘iPhone 3G S’ will come with improved and faster speed, 3 megapixel autofocus camera with video recording capabilities, compass, and voice control. The speed of the news ‘iPhone 3G S’ will be twice faster than the previous iPhone 3G.

The ‘iPhone 3G S’ supports OpenGL 2.0 standard, which amplifies the quality of 3D graphics, which makes mobile games and other graphic intense applications more interesting. The phone boasts of voice commands along with Voice Over feature, which reads the text that appears on the screen.   

The ‘iPhone 3G S’ offers longer battery life, and thus it saves its users from the hassles of charging again and again. The phone supports 7.2 Mbps HSDPA for faster and smoother networking.

The ‘iPhone 3G S’ runs new advanced iPhone 3.0. OS (Operating System), which includes a slew of new features, such as cut, copy and paste, MMS, spotlight search, landscape keyboard for mail, messages, notes and safari and parental controls for TV shows, movies and apps from the App Store.

The Apple ‘iPhone 3G S’ will be released in 10 countries including the U.S., Canada and some European countries on June 19. The phone will be released in Australia on June 26. It will be relearned globally in July and August. The phone will be released in more that 80 countries including India.

The ‘iPhone 3G S’ is expected to hit the Indian market in August. The phone is expected to be priced expensive in India. The ‘iPhone 3G S’ will compete with Nokia’s N97, BlackBerry, and Samsung smarphones. In United States, the 16GB model is expected to available for $199 (approx. Rs.9, 440), while the 32GB model is expected to be priced at $299 (approx. Rs.14, 180).
