Berlin - An African man has been attacked by three neo-Nazi racists in a small town west of Berlin and suffered facial bruises and injury to the nose before he managed to run away, police said Friday.

Police said they arrested a youth, 14, and were looking for two local men aged 25 and 33 after the Thursday evening assault in Havelberg, 90 kilometres west of Berlin.

The trio had addressed the victim, 25, as "nigger pig," physically attacked him and did stiff-armed Heil Hitler salutes as he escaped, Saxony Anhalt state police said. (dpa)
