Adam Scott blows chance to dethrone Woods from World No.1 rank

Adam ScottSydney, Mar. 24 - Australian golfer Adam Scott has reportedly blown his chance to claim the world No. 1 ranking as he lost the Arnold Palmer Invitational tournament.

The reigning Masters champion, who lead by seven-strokes in the third round and started the final day with a three-shot advantage, struggled to a final round four-over-par 76.

According to News. com. au, Scott, who is the first Australian to win the Masters champion, would have dethroned Tiger Woods from the first rank if he had won the tournament.

However, Scott finished at third place, two shots behind winner Matt Every, the report added. (ANI)
