2 suspected HUJI militants arrested in Doda
Jammu, Dec 25 : Uttar Pradesh (UP) Police on Tuesday arrested two suspected Harkat-ul-Jehadi-Islami (HUJI) militants with the help of Jammu and Kashmir Police in Doda district for their alleged involvement in the serial blasts that rocked three UP courts.
The two suspects identified as Sajjad and Tariq Kashmiri alias Akhthar have been rushed to Lucknow on a transit demand.
UP police came to know about Sajjad and Kashmiri during the interrogation of 2 HUJI militants arrested by them on December 21.
On 23 November, as many as six serial blasts rocked Lucknow, Varanasi and Faizabad, ripping peace in the state in a span of 20 minutes, killing at least 13 people, including five lawyers. Over 50 were wounded in the attacks. (ANI)
