15 soldiers injured in road accident in the Philippines Manila  - Fifteen soldiers were injured Tuesday when the dump truck they were riding in plunged into a 20-metre ravine in a central Philippine town, a police report said.

The truck was negotiating a downward curve along a road in Don Salvador Benedicto town in Negros Occidental province, 555 kilometres south of Manila, when the driver lost control of the vehicle.

At least one of the injured soldiers was in critical condition, while the others were in stable condition and being treated in a nearby hospital.

Police investigators were still determining the cause of the accident. (dpa)
