ZTE to launch CDMA, GSM handsets in India

Chinese telecom firm ZTEThe Chinese telecom firm ZTE has announced that it is going to introduce CDMA and GSM handsets in India in next 2-3 months. As per the company, India has become the most promising market for handsets. 

ZTE is one of the leading telecom firms in China and is ready to enter the vast Indian market. The handsets of the company are expected to be sold in the market soon. At the initial stage, the company has decided to come up with 10-12 models in both GSM and CDMA in India.

Later on it will expand its product line according to response and preference of the Indian customers.

ZTE chairman and managing director DK Ghosh has informed that his company is ready to retail mobile handsets and the products will be available in outlets all across India. He has said that the open market handsets (OMH) segment is gaining momentum in CDMA division.

These handsets don’t depend on operators and hence attract more customers to use it. Ghosh has also informed that the company is aiming to sell at least 2-3 million units in the first year of retail operation.
