Yuvraj replaces injured Sehwag as vice-captainIndian stylish batsmen, Yuvraj Singh was appointed as vice captain of Indian team for rest of the matches of ongoing T20 World Cup in England.

Yuvraj has been named vice captain just before India’s first match in the super eight round of the ICC T20 World Cup yesterday.

BCCI Secretary N Srinivasan said that Yuvraj has been named as vice captain of India team in the absence of the injured Virender Sehwag.

Indian aggressive opener Sehwag was vice captain of India but he has been ruled out of the Indian team due to shoulder injury which he received during a match in the Indian Premier League (IPL-2) while playing for Delhi Daredevils.

There was no surprise in naming Yuvraj as vice captain of the Indian team as Yuvraj is among the senior-most players in the Indian team. Yuvraj also holds the record of hitting six sixes in an over of Chris Broad during a match against England in ICC T20 World Cup last year in South Africa.
