Wipro Pockets 10 Year Pact From Manipal Health EnterprisesWipro Infotech, the India and Middle East IT biz division of Wipro, announced that it has pocketed a 10 year deal from Manipal Health Enterprises.

As part of the agreement, Wipro will put its Hospital Information System (HIS) solution and data migration services into practice across Manipal Group Hospitals.

Financial information linked to the contract was not disclosed thus far.

The planned HIS application is patient-centric and will offer up instant access to clinical, managerial and billing facts for use by hospital staff that is essential for effective working of a hospital.

It will also make sure lofty levels of mechanization, better accessibility of data, decrease in patient's waiting time and better use of revenues.

Manipal Health Enterprises' network of hospitals manages approximately 4,900 beds via 15 hospitals, spread crosswise 5 states in the nation.

It has a medical and healthcare pool of more than 1,500 doctors and 5,500 nurses, paramedics and support staff.

MHE's hospital network yearly services about 2 million patients in the country and abroad.
