The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has issued warning against consumption of two varieties of chocolate bars. This warning has been specifically issued for people allergic to milk protein.

Life brand Premium Swiss Dark Chocolate with Orange and Life brand Premium Swiss Dark Chocolate with 72 per cent Cocoa contain milk but the label doesn’t mention it. Consumption of these chocolates can cause a serious or even life-threatening reaction in people with allergies to milk protein.

Nationwide distributor of the chocolates Shoppers Drug Mart and Pharmaprix stores and have voluntarily recalled the chocolates. However no cases of illness due to consumption of the products have been reported.
