Vodafone’s app store gearing up fast - 10,000 downloads
The British Multinational telecom operator Vodafone has recently proclaimed its new app store in India. The group reports that same has been operational since last month but the company decided to make it public when download figures crossed the number 10,000.
Vodafone app store is a storehouse for 800 and above apps which fashions a 'search' option which helps in searching utilities or app in a jiffy. A few of the popular apps include entertainment, utility, finance, social networking and games. Most of them being free of cost i. e., price ranges from Rs. 5 to Rs. 30.
The store's launch was in lieu with the telecom's arch competitor in India Airtel which already has posed its new store a few weeks earlier. Other contender who is about to join the league is Reliance Communications.
It seems that British Telecom giant doesn't want to be out of the race with its intentions clear for the Numero Uno spot; Vodafone is looking forward to add more Value Added Service providers in order to increase its database of apps.
