Twitter has crossed another milestone, as the 10 billionth tweet posted on its site. This depicts the speed of tweet posting is unbelievably rising as the user base of the website is increasing.

The 1billionth tweet was posted in the month of November 2008. In just one year and four odd months it has received almost 9 billion more postings. According to the officials, the progress was impressive.

Twitter has become the latest sensation in the blogging arena. It allows its users to post instant comments in 140 characters. It has enchanted the users from almost every age group and from all segments. From politicians to celebrities, everybody is on twitter for various issues. It has become so popular that market biggies like Microsoft, Google and Yahoo have collaborated with it. The tweets now appear in search results of these search engines.

However, the twitter account of the person who has posted the10 billionth tweet has been protected. Hence "what did the magic number tweet say" could not been found out. Twitter lovers are expecting that the magical figure of 20 billionth posting will be reached soon, hopefully in this year itself.
