Tulip Telecom gets R-APDRP ProjectsTulip Telecom has bagged the project for providing data connectivity services in Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat. The project is worth Rs 158.2 Crore and is under the R-APDRP (restructured accelerated power development reforms programme) scheme. This will enable the company to supply, install and monitor MPLS VPN, Internet and other connectivity services in these areas.

As of now the project tenure is for five years out of which it is to be delivered in a period of 12 to 18 months. The scheme will span across all the project towns under the R-APDRP scheme developed by Power Corporations of Uttar Pradesh (UP) and Gujarat.

This is a win- win situation for the company not only in terms of profitability but will also help the telco to expand its network. As besides this project, Tulip telecom has been given the charge of looking after a bigger R-APDRP project. This is a drive by the ministry of power in order to provide reliable services to the consumers in terms of billing, energy accounting and customer care.

On a bigger perspective, it will also make an easy adaptation of Information technology by the government and develop an accurate base line data for the near future.
