Three Maoists killed in encounter with CRPF in Jharkhand
Hazaribag (Jharkhand), July 29 : Three Maoists were killed and several injured in an encounter with the Central Reserve Police Force last night in Vishnugarh forest area of Hazaribag District.
The encounter took place when security forces headed by the CRPF Deputy Commandant R K Mishra and Vishnugarh, police station in-charge Bhola Singh raided the jungles on Hazaribag-Bokaro border, about 90 km from here.
District Superintendent of Police P K Singh told reporters that during the encounter, which lasted till morning, at least 350 rounds of bullets were exchanged.
All the bodies were recovered and one of the killed is identified as sub-zonal commander of the CPI (Maoist).
There was no casualty on the side of the security forces and search operation is on to find the injured ultras.
The police recovered one SLR, three rifles and cartridges. (ANI)
