New Delhi: Host India continued their good performance to defeat Pakistan 3-0 in the Asia Oceania Junior Davis Cup tennis tournament at the DLTA Complex. On the second day of the tournament Yuki Bhambri and Saurabh Singh ensured India with a 3-0 scoreline.

In the first match Saurabh Singh defeated Samir Iftikhar in two straight sets by 6-1, 6-1 in only 48 minutes. In the second singles match of the day, Heera Ashiq of Pakistan was defeated by world junior number five Yuki Bhambari. Bhambari defeated Ashiq by 6-0, 6-4.

Playing together both Yuki and Saurabh registered an easy win against Ashiq and Faizan Khurram. The Indian pair won the match by 6-2, 6-0.

On Wednesday, India will play Thailand in the last Group III league encounter to try and top the group.
