Teenager in stable condition after accidentally becoming impaled on a javelin
Officials have informed that a teenager is in stable condition after accidentally becoming impaled on a javelin in a Pomona, Calif., park.
KTLA-TV, Los Angeles, reported on Monday that a group of teenage boys spotted a javelin in bushes at the Westmont Park Community Center Sunday. One of the boys ran around the corner of a building and accidentally ran into the javelin.
According to a witness, the 15-year-old victim, who was stuck in the right side, fell to his knees, called for help and pulled the spear out.
KTLA further reported that Los Angeles County Paramedics arrived on scene to treat the boy, who appeared to be in shock, and transported him to a local hospital where he was reported in stable condition. (With Inputs from Agencies)
