Quantum technologies move a step closer with demonstration of ''entanglement'' filterWashington, Jan 25 : A team of physicists and engineers has demonstrated an ''entanglement'' filter, an optical device that filters two particles of light (or photons) based on the correlations between their polarization, which brings scientists a step closer to quantum technologies.

The device has been made by Jeremy O''Brien, Professor of Physics and Electrical Engineering at Bristol University, together with his collaborators in Japan.

India-Kazakhstan signed Nuclear Cooperation deal

India and KazakhstanNew Delhi, Jan 24, : India and Kazakhstan on Saturday signed five agreements, including cooperation in the civil nuclear field.

President Pratibha Patil and her Kazakhstan counterpart, Nursultan Nazarbayev signed on the agreements after a delegation level talk between the two countries.

The Kazakh President had arrived in India last night on a four-day visit.

This is Nazarbayev''s fourth visit to India, who will also be the chief guest at the Republic Day parade this year.

The fake story under the name of reporter John C Abell was published on the website of Wired magazine.

However, Abell has dismissed the reports, claiming the story was the work of prankster who hacked into the website of Wired magazine and published the hoax themselves before spreading the link on social networks.

The letters from the Queen's private secretary show that the couple asked to be kept informed about the weird farmland patterns, reports the Sun.

A scientist who has studied the phenomenon in depth claims that Philip had newsletters on the subject sent to Buckingham Palace while the Queen had his book Circular Evidence on the subject on one of her summer reading lists.
