Amsterdam - Airtricity is to build the Netherlands' largest wind turbine park on sea, the subsidiary of the British utility group, Scottish & Southern Energy Plc (SSE) announced on Wednesday.

The new wind farm, Breeveertien 2, would be built 55 kilometres from the coast near IJmuiden in the north-west Netherlands. It would have a capacity of 350 megawatts, providing electricity to 390,000 homes, Airtricity said.

Existing wind turbine parks in the Netherlands have a capacity of no more than 141 megawatts.

Ahead of elections, efforts are being made to ensure that cable TV viewers get to watch their favourite programmes uninterrupted.

This would also help political parties reach out to the masses with their advertising campaigns. Making it possible is a regulation by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) on quality of service (QoS) for cable TV in non-CAS areas.

London, Feb 25: Google has issued an apology to customers after a system crash left millions of users around the world unable to send and receive emails.

Google''s web-based email service, Gmail, got shut for two-and-a-half hours from around 9.30am (UK time), frustrating individuals around the world who rely on the email tool for communication, reports the Daily Express.

According to Internet data company comScore, an estimated 127 million people have Gmail accounts - making it the third most popular email provider after Yahoo and Hotmail.

Vienna  - A senior Syrian official on Tuesday outright rejected findings by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) that could indicate the country had a secret nuclear facility.

The IAEA and a senior diplomat said last week that the nuclear watchdog agency had found additional particles of man-made uranium as well as traces of graphite in samples taken at an alleged nuclear reactor site that was bombed by Israel in 2007.
