London, September 9 : Google Inc. has undertaken a new project to make archives of the world-famous newspapers available on the Internet.

Making an announcement in this regard, the company said that its newspaper-scanning project would begin with a handful of North American newspapers, including the Quebec Chronicle-Telegraph, considered to be the continent’s oldest newspaper.

Sony will have to change the batteries of their own VAIO line of notebooks, as they are giving troubles to the users. Just two years before, the company had to recall 4.1 million laptop batteries which were placed in Dell, Apple and Lenovo notebooks due to the same reasons.

The company will have to change the batteries of the VGN-TZ100, VGN-TZ200, and VGN-TZ300 and VGN-TZ2000 series, due to “irregularly positioned wires near the computer's hinge and/or dislodged screw inside the hinge,” as there is a risk of the batteries getting overheat and also short-circuit thus also resulting in fire. The incident was experienced by a user of VAIO, when she got her arm injured while using her VAIO laptop.

According to Intel, the new L5430 consumes only 50 watts of power or just 12.5 watts per second, whereas the dual-core Xeon X5270 uses only 80 watts.

Sharp has launched two new AQUOS Blu-ray players, named BD-HP21U and BD-HP50U in the market.
