Warning about Vulnerability in the VLC Media Player Bonn, Germany  - A security hole has been discovered in the VLC Media Player, the German Federal Agency for Security in Information Technology (BSI) in Bonn reported.

Attackers can exploit this vulnerability using rigged Real Media files (file ending with "rm") to install malicious software onto the user's computer. The victim has just to open the manipulated multimedia file.

Facebook Profiles Sold By Cyber Criminals For 89p   A research has revealed an astonishing and alarming fact that cyber criminals are buying Facebook profiles for just 89p as online crime rises around the Christmas period.

It has been informed by the internet security company, Trend Micro that during the shopping period between September and December 2007, there was a rise in cyber attacks and a similar trend can be expected for 2008.

During Christmas, online shopping activity is higher than normal, and the company fears that criminals are more likely to strike around this time.
